Admittedly, we did call in close to closing time... 15 minutes to go according to the listing. The cakes on offer were varied and all very tempting. Those we chose were delicious. However, the young lady serving us was not especially welcoming - tired perhaps after a long day - so we thought it best not to take too long to gulp down our hot drinks and gobble the cakes. We said our thank yous, shared our smiles, and made sure we were out before closing time.
Enjoyed a really tasty all day breakfast and vegetarian breakfast when we visited on the weekend. The cafe offers quite a varied and decent menu, serving traditional cafe food at reasonable prices. The venue itself was very busy and quite noisy when we visited. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming, and the food was delivered piping hot to the table which was great. The cake display was full of stunning looking cakes and desserts which was hard to resist; I can highly recommend the absolutely delicious raspberry pavlova which tasted devine! I'd definitely visit again.

I have been going here in Ogmore since my kids were babies and they are 25 now so that shows you consistently excellent home cooked food, great range and portion size but the hidden gem is the puddings! Fantastic range, totally home cooked, fresh ingredients. Puddings that i remember from childhood combined with modern favourites like Eton mess. Bread and butter pudding, cheesecakes ....too many to name. And you are literally 10mins drive from either Ogmore castle to explore or beautiful Ogmore beach to walk off the calories !!
Just happened to stop in after a visit to the pottery shop up the way. Wonderful food and nice folks all around. I would highly recommend stopping in for a great meal at very reasonable prices. BTW…. They have a delicious assortment of home made desserts which you must try or take away with you. Truly a gem.
